South West Wolf Pack – First Aid

South West Wolf Pack – First Aid

wolf2 Wolf Pack South West first aid and climbing event.

The Wolf Pack were the first group to kick start the 2016 children and young people’s events in the South West Region.

The day began with a first aid workshop which was run by Imogen from the Red Cross. The children all received certificates for their achievements in learning how to respond to a wide variety of first aid scenarios including managing bleeding, an unconscious patient and what to do in the event of a choking incident.

wolf1The afternoon’s activity tested the Wolf Pack’s nerves with a two hour session in Plymouth Life Centre’s indoor climbing centre. The courageous Wolf Pack team all mastered the scaling of the various rock faces – not for the faint hearted – followed by their bouncing abseiling descent. They also had the opportunity to test out their recently acquired ropes skills on the indoor high ropes course where all the children demonstrated agility and most importantly excellent team work.

Once again, it was a true delight to spend the day with our fantastic children from the Wolf Pack who are inspiring and simply great fun to be with.
