  • Friendly & Family Run Foster Agency

Although we have three offices and cover the South West of England we are still run by the same family and many of our friendly team have been with us for a number of years. Our team is there to help you and our carers are as much a part of the Fostering Foundation family as our team members.

  • Working together with you

We take the time to find the right carers for the right child or young person. We believe this is at the heart of good Foster care and you won’t be pushed into making decisions you or we don’t think are good for you, your family and the child or young person. We will also put you in touch with existing carers who can offer their experience to help you make the right decision for all involved.

  • Support from the Foundation

When you foster with us, you’ll have direct access to a supervising social worker (SSW), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Fostering Foundation SSWs are responsible for a maximum of 12 foster carers and give day-to-day support through regular contact with you.

  • Fostering Training

Once approved as a foster carer we provide you with a high-quality training program to develop your skills as a foster carer. The courses include First Aid, Child Protection, Managing Behaviours, and we also offer specialist training from in-house and external trainers on subjects such as Attachment Theory, PACE, Therapeutic Parenting, Teenagers Workshop, and Internet Safety.
