Each Child Should Be Valued As An Individual

Each child should be valued as an individual

Continuing our series of National Minimum Standards for Foster Care which the Fostering Services department of the Government has produced.

This week we feature the following “Each child should be valued as an individual and given personalised support in line with their individual needs and background in order to develop their identity, self confidence and self-worth. “

It probably sounds obvious to many people that this should happen but so often in birth children their individual needs are not catered for, so it is no real surprise that this can happen with fostering families.

The Fostering Foundation is highly motivated to support our foster carers in providing the best possible upbringing for their foster families.
