Eid Mubarak – Wishing all our Muslim foster carers well

Eid Mubarak - Wishing all our Muslim foster carers well

The Fostering Foundation are proud to have a number of Muslim foster carers throughout the South West region. We wish them all “Eid Mubarak” as Ramadan comes to an end.

For one month a year Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset this is known as the holy month of Ramadan. During this period we refrain from eating and drinking and try to become closer to Allah (god) through our prayers and recitation of our holy book the Quran. Eid is a celebration at the end of this month to mark the end of the period of fasting and a day to thank Allah for the opportunity of fasting during Ramadan. Muslims enjoy the day of Eid by a special congregational prayer at the mosque followed by lots of delicious food and sweets with family and friends.
