POSITION FILLED – Job description
The Fostering Foundation is a small family owned independent fostering agency based in the South West with offices in Bristol, Tavistock and Exeter. We are investing in ensuring that we recruit those foster carers who can provide the very best of care to children and young people who are unable to remain in the care of their family.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member in a new and unique dual role. The role is to promote the ethos of The Fostering Foundation in order to generate new foster carer applicants and to process referrals from Local Authorities for children requiring foster placements.
This is an interesting and varied job with high levels of job satisifaction. Working alongside social work and administrative colleagues offering great team work experience. We will offer you the training, support and supervision to carry out this important role. You will truly influence childrens long term term futures in this important role.

Responsibilities
• Promotion of The Fostering Foundation and our ethos in order to generate foster carer enquiries
• First point of contact for foster carer enquirers
• Convey the ethos of our agency and explain what is required to become a foster carer
• Work alongside our website coordinator
• Carry out initial home visits to potential foster carers
• Compile reports/analysis of recruitment activity
• Process placement referrals received from the Local Authority
• Engage positively with all Local Authorities – who are our customer base
• Work in conjunction with our social workers in agreeing placements for children
• Compile reports/analysis of referral activity
• work in collaboration with all team members to achieve the highest standard of service to our foster carers and children

Skills
• Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children in social care
• Good understanding of foster care and the needs of children placed in foster homes
• Good IT user knowledge
• The motivation to be a team player
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills dealing with a range of people
• Good time management skills
• Valid driving licence and car owner
• The right to work in the UK

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
