Fostering FAQs – Will I have a say in who I foster?

As part of the assessment to become a foster carer, you will have discussions about the appropriate age range, the number of children you will be approved to foster, and any other considerations.

Ideally, all children and young people will be well-matched and planned, but your Fostering Foundation Supervising social worker will always listen to you if you say that you do not feel able to practically or emotionally fully support and care for an individual child/young person.
