Past mental health issues do not exclude you from becoming a foster carer but you would need to discuss this with us.
We always ask for a medical report as part of the assessment process.
We would explore with you whether the emotional demands of fostering might cause any difficulties for you and what support you might need.
As with all parts of the assessment process things are considered on an individual basis.
