Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) & Refugees
Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) are children or young people seeking asylum in the UK. They have often been separated from their parents or carers and are therefore alone when seeking asylum.
They are often fleeing persecution, war, famine and abuse in their home countries.
These children and young people have the misfortune to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time and by offering to bring them into their foster families, our foster carers are giving them a chance to get their lives started again.
