The Wessex region carers attended a course today on Relationship Based Play run by Rebecca Lakeland and Shirley Martin.
Relationship Based Play is a child and family therapy for building and enhancing attachment, self-esteem, trust in others, and joyful engagement.
It is based on the natural patterns of playful, healthy interaction between parent/carer and child and is personal, physical, and fun.
The carers had a great day with lots of fun and lots of learning.
The course was rated as either “excellent” or “very good” and said they would have loved to have had another day of the course.
The feedback included these comments form the carers:
“A truly WONDERFUL course which will really help with relationshiop between me and future foster children. Thank you!”
“I was dreading this course but found it fascinating. The examples and all answers were A1”
Thank you to everyone that attended and of course Rebecca and Shirley.
