Join Our Team - We're hiring!

Supervising Social Worker: The Fostering Foundation is delighted to invite applications from experienced, qualified social workers to join our teams in Plymouth and Exeter. This is a permanent position available on a full-time basis.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children and young people. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support, supervision and guidance to approved foster carers, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with fostering regulations.

Essential Criteria

  • BA (Hons) in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Current registration with Social Work England  (SWE).
  • Knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards (2011).
  • Good IT skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Understanding of fostering and the impact of trauma on children in care.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.


Salary:  £35,000-£40,000 per year
